About Me

"I was born in Crete Greece, loved the Cretan musical instruments since I was very young. My first experience with the making of instruments was at the age of 7 till 12yrs old, where I would observe a luthier making violins and Lyra just a few houses up from where I used to live.

That was when I got the kick start to make one for myself, it obviously wasn't the greatest success but that didn't stop me, so I kept on trying until I got the right technique,  with of course guidance from the older luthier neighbour and friend.I would then make them and give them away as presents.

I have always believed in never rushing any of the instruments that I make. Because I feel for every single one of the them. I always have and always will, produce quality so I need  the appropriate time for each instrument to be made. It takes time and love to make a musical instrument, because it is handmade and not a factory reproduction."
